Thanks, according to http://www.newark.com/pdfs/techarticles ... sBrchr.pdf (Tip #5) it seems that a direct connect is ok as long as the CNC Controller uses TTL and not CMOS logic. (I'll check which one you have once your wiki page start working again, apparently it is not working today)

I'll blame curiosity if I break anything ;-)

Fixed the wiki page.

The chip can run from 3v to 5.5v.

Due is most likely TTL, and Unos are closer to CMOS levels.

The driver chip should be able to handle either.
