Aluminum parts arrived! :)

Yeah! The aluminum Z-Axis arrived today and it is beautiful! I am very happy with the parts, they really look great.

So, I went ahead and ordered a Router Mount, just to keep it all nice and solid.

I can't wait to put this all back together and get cutting!

:D

Hi AJ, I don't want beat a dead horse, but since I can't use the CNC building blocks without a router mount (can anyone?) Is there some alternative that exists already? Maybe a mount for a dremel or other tool? Or something offered by someone else that will work until you guys figure out a solution ...

Hi AJ,
Do you yet know what the router mount will cost, for use with the new Z axis carrier?
Thanks!

I understand about the aluminum replacement parts. I realized when I got a quote for a new top surface that, of course, it didn't need to match the MDF and could have been maybe 1/4" thick and been just fine. Much cheaper that way too, I'm sure! Again, my autocorrect seems to have made a mockery of ...

Thanks. I am amazed you can understand what I am trying to say. My auto correct on my laptop seems to make completely different words out of whatever I was attempting to type. It's very frustrating to go back and read my post and discover it so late! In any case, as an existing CNC owner, I am very ...

Ouch. I will have to look out for that. So, I started to roll up my sandpaper and thought, "it is moving freely along the middle of the travel, why would it bind up at the ends?" Is it the mounting holes on the sides that should perhaps be opened up a bit more, rather than the bushings? I would real...

Cool, thanks. I went to support the Building Blocks, but the picture of the two z axes side-by-side stopped me. The image makes it look like the holes are closer together on the new part's face - will my router mount still fit? This is a part that some have broken from tightening too hard around the...

Thanks for the quick reply! So, I didn't see another topic for this, but since you mentioned the building block parts... For the electronics, are they also an upgrade? I was wondering if they controlled via USB or would allow for Mac support? I am hoping you will be offering the individual component...

When will this order be going in? I will probably get these as well, unless it is another month or two away...
