Re: Little Red Tardis

Newest update, I have spindle control. After 1 month of waiting for my cheapo contactor from eBay, I have it hooked up and working. I have since replaced the limit switches as the older ones would trip falsely if the bit chattered against the material even a little bit. Next step is to upgrade the Z...

Re: ETA for Z axis

Non backer. I assume I would have known from Kickstarter updates, but they are private on the site.

Re: Little Red Tardis

I was thinking of having it control a contactor, but the relay has printed on it 120v 13Amp or 270v 10Amp. I may still go with the contactor though.

Re: Little Red Tardis

So the limit switches, were giving me a little trouble, First they just stopped working on each circuit. that was crimping issues, got that fixed, but then anytime the bit would chatter at all and shake the tool, the switch would trip. I tore out the ole ones and used a new set (of old switches) tha...

Re: About to mount the limit switches...

I cut my grooves with the table saw and a Dado blade, and the track I used came from Rockler but I've seen it a Woodcraft as well.

Re: The Future of A Quick CNC.

Has any thought been put into making the new parts longer to make the working height a little more?

Re: Router mount woes

do you have any specs on the plastics you are using rigid and flexible? I am pretty comfortable with the Smooth-On brand of resins and might be able to suggest a plastic from them. Or maybe a composite of some kind, my first thought is a steel band that is embedded like the Oilite bushings in the re...

Router mount woes

So I DID NOT break another router mount, but with great chance of breakage comes great responsibility. I was cutting the other day and as the machine was happily plodding along it bogged down and set off one of my limit switches by vibrating the table enough. I turned off the router and checked it o...
